Job Summary:
The Data Processing Operations Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the data processing division to ensure the timely and accurate processing of data.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trains, hires, schedules, and oversees multiple shifts of data processing specialists.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules and monitors the activities of the data processing division.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of data.
- Ensures integrity of data being processed is maintained.
- Identifies and resolves problems, preferably before the data processing schedule is affected.
- Ensures compliance with company guidelines and requirements by enforcing policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Collaborates with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Develops and maintains daily activity log. Charges system usage costs to appropriate cost center managers as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of relevant computer systems and processing center languages used to encode data.
- Ability to explain technical information in understandable language to nontechnical personnel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- At least two years of experience in data processing required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work night shifts and weekends.
