Job Summary:
The Weatherization Installer and Technician will ensure that a building is prepared for various types of weather with the aim to reduce damage to the structure while improving energy efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Weatherizes homes or other buildings by repairing or installing new windows, insulating duct work, insulating attics, and maintaining heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Inspects the building to determine what type of weatherization work needs to be completed.
- Assesses the efficiency of the current HVAC equipment.
- Recommends the best options for weatherization; explains energy conservation techniques.
- Insulates attics, crawl spaces, basements, or walls using various types of insulation.
- Seals duct work and vents; installs new air ducts when necessary.
- Records and documents weatherization work performed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of weatherization techniques and materials.
- Ability to repair or install weatherization materials.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of related experience or comparable training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to inspect a building by climbing ladders, accessing attics or crawl spaces, kneeling, and crawling.
- Physically able to install or repair weatherization materials.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
