ALEXANDRIA, Va. – SHRM, the trusted authority on all things work, workers, and the workplace, today announced the launch of AskSHRM, a new member benefit that enables HR professionals to ask workplace questions in plain language and receive guidance grounded in SHRM research, content and expertise. Available exclusively through the SHRM Mobile App, AskSHRM includes visible citations and source links so members can review the information behind each response.
AskSHRM is designed to give members a trusted first step when questions arise on the job while keeping human expertise within reach. When a situation calls for deeper discussion, individual judgment or support on a consequential decision, members can connect with a live SHRM HR Knowledge Advisor.
“HR professionals are navigating increasingly complex workplace challenges and need guidance they can trust in the moment to position their organizations to succeed in this environment,” said Mike Aitken, EVP of membership and communities at SHRM. “AskSHRM puts SHRM’s research, cutting edge solutions and expertise at their fingertips, with transparent sourcing and a direct connection to a live HR Knowledge Advisor whenever they need deeper support.”
The launch also introduces the SHRM Mobile App for iOS and Android, giving members a single mobile destination for AskSHRM, personalized content, saved resources, alerts and support. AskSHRM is included with active SHRM membership at no additional cost and requires members to sign in through the app.
SHRM will continue improving AskSHRM based on member use and feedback. At launch, active members may submit up to 75 AskSHRM queries each month. The experience is intended to complement, not replace, professional judgment, SHRM HR Knowledge Advisors or legal counsel.
Members can download the SHRM Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play and sign in with their SHRM member account.
