Performance Management: 4 Steps to Go from Loathed to Loved

The traditional approach to performance management isn’t working, with as many as 95% of managers dissatisfied with their organization's performance management system, and 90% of HR leaders believing their system does not deliver accurate information about employee performance. If you feel like your approach to performance management needs improvement, but you don’t know where to start, you’re not alone. Performance Management systems have, on average, a negative sixty (-60) Net Promoter Score (that is even worse than low fare airlines and cable companies). Yet, effective performance management not only has a positive impact on employee engagement, motivation and productivity, but also allows your organization to align individual performance with strategic business goals, driving the overall productivity and profitability of your company. Join Culture Amp’s Senior People Scientist Kevin Campbell as he discusses why so many organizations are reevaluating and revamping their approach to performance. We will also provide insights to help you recreate (or create) a better approach to performance management at your company.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Kevin currently serves as a Senior People Scientist for Culture Amp's Customer Group. His primary role entails being a thought leader in the engagement space while assisting customers with survey question design, analyzing survey results, advising on communication approaches, and establishing feedback strategies for our customers at the organization, group, and individual level. Prior to his career at Culture Amp, Kevin spent nearly a decade driving talent strategy, employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development engagements for clients in the professional services, technology, healthcare and life sciences industries. He earned his Master’s in Organizational Psychology from Claremont Graduate University where he studied under Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, co-founder of Positive Psychology and the first researcher to recognize and name the mental state of flow—the optimal experience of total engagement.
