SHRM Advocacy Alerts
SHRM encourages you to contact your members of Congress and urge them to act on two key workplace priorities before the end of the year: the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and pass the Telehealth Expansion Act. These actions are crucial for ensuring that employers have access to a skilled and healthy workforce, ready to thrive in today’s competitive global economy.
SHRM and the Garden State Council-SHRM (GSC-SHRM) urge residents of New Jersey to help defeat New Jersey State Assembly Bill 4852. This well-intentioned but misguided piece of legislation would mandate both public and private employers to establish workplace policies that would prohibit them from contacting employees outside of working hours – known as the “Right to Disconnect”.
