Teira spent her early career consulting with leading health systems across the country to help them better use patient and physician experience data to improve care. She joined First Stop Health in 2015 as the Direct of Client Care, and was named Chief Executive Officer in 2023. In the interim, she wore several hats and touched nearly every part of the business first-hand: from product development to client care and sales to physician network management.
Under Teira’s guidance as CEO, First Stop Health has grown 30%+ year over year and acquired SentryHealth, an AI-driven care management and advocacy solution. Since this acquisition, Teira has played a crucial role in integrating both organizations under a unified brand that embodies their shared mission. She also led the launch of two products: Enhanced Primary Care and Whole Mental Health, both of which provide holistic healthcare experiences.
Teira grew up on a cattle farm in the Missouri Ozarks, where her interest in increasing access to care was born. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master's degree in health administration.
