As artificial intelligence becomes ever more embedded in the workplace, the conversation needs to move beyond whether humans and AI will compete. The more important question is how the two can work together.
In the session, “Talent, Skills and the Next Decade of Work,” Paresh Ranpara, Director, Human Resources, GRID-INDIA said that the need is to think of AI as a partner and not as a competing force. AI can improve efficiency, process data and aid decision-making but the workplace still revolves around human abilities like empathy, emotional intelligence and emotional maturity.
In adoption of new technologies, HR leaders play an important role in helping employees understand AI, develop relevant skills and feel comfortable working with it. The goal should be to create a workforce that can use AI well and can still deliver uniquely human capabilities in the workplace.
