Job Summary:
The District ManagerRetail Banking will oversee the retail banking branches within the assigned district, ensuring that each location runs smoothly and meets sales and customer goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires, trains, oversees, and advises branch managers.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the financial performance of each banking location.
- Acts as communication liaison between banking locations and headquarters.
- Communicates information related to new policies, procedures, and promotions with and among branch locations.
- Identifies new opportunities for sales and locations within the assigned area; reports findings to higher level executive.
- Ensures district-wide customer satisfaction.
- Oversees safety and security within the district.
- Assists branch managers as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of banking services, customers, procedures, and policies.
- Excellent management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of geographic region to be overseen.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Banking, Business, or related field required.
- Proven experience as a branch manager required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Requires regular travel throughout the assigned district.
