Tami Cabiness is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at USAA – a Fortune 100 financial services company- where she leads the organization’s people strategy in support of its mission to serve the military community and their families. She oversees all aspects of USAA’s talent strategy, including recruitment, leadership development, total rewards and employee experience.
With more than 20 years of HR leadership experience, Cabaniss has guided people functions across leading companies in technology, financial services and media. Prior to joining USAA, she held executive positions at PayPal, Hewlett-Packard and Fox Interactive Media, where she led global workforce initiatives, culture transformation and organizational growth.
Cabaniss holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology California State University, Long Beach. She is known for building inclusive, high performing cultures rooted in service, integrity and operational excellence. She is also active in the community, supporting organizations that advance education, career opportunity and well-being for military families.
