Exclusive Briefing on Trump Administration's Workplace Enforcement Agenda with Former Director Eschbach
Former OFCCP Director to Provide Strategic Guidance at SHRM BLUEPRINT 2025
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Today, SHRM, the trusted authority on all things work, workers, and the workplace, announced that former OFCCP Director Catherine Eschbach, the Trump Administration’s most recent chief enforcement officer on federal workplace law, will deliver a rare and exclusive briefing at BLUEPRINT 2025. Former Director Eschbach represents the definitive source of truth on the Trump Administration’s enforcement priorities – providing HR leaders with the authoritative guidance they need to prepare their organizations for what lies ahead. This unparalleled access ensures attendees hear directly from the highest level of government, equipping them to navigate compliance with clarity and confidence.
“Regardless of who you voted for, once the ballots are counted, our responsibility as HR leaders is to understand the Trump Administration’s priorities and prepare our workplaces accordingly,” said Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, President & CEO of SHRM. “Setting aside personal politics isn’t optional—it’s essential to doing this job well. That’s why it’s invaluable for our members to hear directly from former Director Eschbach. This is a rare opportunity to hear from the nation’s top authority on federal contractor obligations, empowering organizations to anticipate change, safeguard their people and operations, and lead with confidence. At SHRM, we believe informed action is the strongest defense—and the surest path to building workplaces that are not only compliant, but inclusive, resilient, and future-ready.”
Eschbach will participate in a fireside chat with Emily M. Dickens, SHRM Chief of Staff, Head of Government Affairs and Corporate Secretary, offering attendees rare insider perspectives on where federal compliance is headed and how organizations can proactively align with regulatory expectations. The discussion will focus on enforcement priorities, compliance frameworks, and practical strategies HR leaders can implement to foster compliant, inclusive workplaces.
Appointed as the Trump Administration OFCCP Director on March 24, 2025 by Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Eschbach brings extensive experience in constitutional, statutory, and administrative law to her role. She has been tasked with implementing President Trump's directives and executive orders. Prior to her appointment, Eschbach spent six years with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP's appellate group, where she led successful litigation efforts to restore federal government practices to constitutional limits, including cases directly affecting OFCCP operations. Her legal background includes serving as judicial law clerk for Chief Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
In addition to former Director Eschbach, BLUEPRINT 2025 brings a full spectrum of guidance by featuring two former EEOC Commissioners—Victoria Lipnic, appointed by a Republican President, and Jenny Yang, appointed by a Democratic President. Together, these experts offer comprehensive insights that enable HR leaders to understand, anticipate, and adapt to today’s evolving workplace policies. By convening the nation’s top enforcement authority alongside bipartisan perspectives, SHRM reaffirms its commitment to providing members with the most complete, actionable intelligence available.
BLUEPRINT emphasizes the need for corporate I&D strategy to be: legally compliant, workplace unifying, and business accretive. Attendees will have access to comprehensive working sessions to help senior HR, legal, and I&D leaders design the next era of inclusive cultures for a diverse workforce.
