Leaders of Humana Discuss the Intersection of Talent, Business and Health at SHRM22

Alexandria, Va. — SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) announced today that Bruce D. Broussard, president and CEO of Humana Inc., and Tim S. Huval, chief administrative officer of Humana Inc., will join the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2022 (SHRM22), June 12-15 in New Orleans at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, as keynote speakers.

Live on the SHRM22 Main Stage, Broussard and Huval will lead a discussion on the intersection of work, workplace, people and business, talent strategies, and the crucial partnership between the CEO and the chief administrative officer.

"There's no question about it—the entire world is currently dealing with a major health care issue. In fact, as the Great Resignation continues to affect every industry, SHRM research found that better benefits was one of the top three reasons U.S. workers were searching for a new job," said Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, SHRM president and chief executive officer. "As partners in their roles as CEO and chief administrative officer, Bruce and Tim have fearlessly led the way forward in the health care industry as the world continues to adapt and recover."

Broussard and Huval will join the lineup of over 200 speakers at SHRM22, which will be offered both virtually and in person. HR professionals, CHROs, people managers and students will have the opportunity to engage on best workplace practices, discuss new data from SHRM, learn about the latest trends and benchmarking, and explore how to a build better workplace culture.

"The last few years have further demonstrated the power of an engaged workforce aligned around a common purpose," said Huval. "We believe it starts with a set of core values in combination with offering the right mix of benefits, resources and flexibility to help our teammates thrive. When they thrive, so does our business—and ultimately, our members and the communities we serve."

The theme of SHRM22 is Cause the Effect, encouraging business and HR leaders to boldly bring about the changes they want to see in the world of work. More speakers will be announced in the coming months. To learn more, please visit annual.shrm.org.
