Job Summary:
The Time Study Engineer will conduct time and motion studies, measuring work patterns and methods of employees with the goal of developing and implementing practices and programs that ensure the most efficient use of production staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May train technicians in time and motion techniques, methods, and principles.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Directs time and motion studies to identify opportunities to improve overall efficiency and cost savings relative to employees and facilities.
- Conducts or leads in the observation and analysis of work procedures to determine the time and motion requirements of each position or assignment.
- Analyzes data and specifications to establish reasonable time and production standards.
- Uses mathematical analysis to identify objective measurements of alternate work patterns.
- Applies industrial management techniques and principles to develop cost and time-saving recommendations and modifications to work methods, staffing requirements, wage rates, and equipment and facilities upgrades.
- Designs and coordinates all phases of the production process using industrial engineering principles and best practices.
- Collaborates with accounting department to create and further develop wage and salary policies based on anticipated labor costs.
- Assists marketing and sales departments in making pricing decisions by developing cost analysis system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or related field required.
- At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel to and traverse other facilities.
