Job Summary:
The Vice President of Human Services will set goals for the Human Services department and will direct the effective and efficient delivery of agency services and benefits to clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with agency policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates, develops, and launches new programs and services related to departmental and agency goals.
- Evaluates current services and assesses the need to extend, modify, or end services or benefits.
- Creates short-term and long-range plans to execute the mission of the agency.
- Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the Board of Directors or other applicable stakeholders to execute the goals set by the President of Human Services.
- Performs ongoing needs assessments of Human Services benefits.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, or related Human Services field required.
- At least five years of experience in Human Services or related field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel extensively in local area.
