Vijayalakshmi Viswanathan, Master Facilitator, SHRM India
Vijayalakshmi (Viji) Viswanathan is an Engineer from College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai and an MBA (Gold Medallist) from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. She also holds a Masters degree in Sociology. She has more than 30 years of experience in industry as well as in executive capability development and has worked in organizations such as Asian Paints, Funskool (India), Mode Research and NIS Sparta Viji is a certified facilitator in psychometrics such as Hogan, MBTI® (Step I and Step II), FIRO-B, Caliper, DiSC, Thomas Profiling and is also an expert facilitator in the use of Facet, LSI and Belbin. Using a combination of workshops, hands-on-projects, feedback and peer learning, she trains and certifies Learning & Development professionals (who design behavioural and leadership programs) and technical subject matter experts (who design technical programs) on how to design and deliver effective training programs. Viji’s expertise in the area of Instructional Design stems from her stint at NIS Sparta (a sister company of NIIT, which pioneered the use of Instructional Design for the courses they used to run in classes across the country). Viji also headed the Corporate Research Centre and NIS Sparta which used to create all the training programs for internal consumption as well as train client trainers who wanted to use the content for internal consumption. Apart from Instructional Design, she also extensively delves in the space of executive coaching and leadership development programs.
