Job Summary:
The Television Production Assistant will perform entry-level tasks as part of a television crew.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares and distributes copies of scripts and other needed documents.
- Assists the Executive Producer in planning schedules for cast and production employees.
- Travels to shooting locations and assists with the setup of video equipment.
- Organizes travel to and from television sets and filming locations.
- Ensures that meals, beverages, and refreshments are available to the cast and crew.
- Confirms availability of studio space, and camera, audio, and lighting equipment.
- Records and updates production notes.
- Assists with post-production work such as video and sound editing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with camera and production equipment.
- Proficient with editing and production software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school degree required. Bachelors degree in Communications, Television Production, or related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in the television industry preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to carry production equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time.
