Television Production Assistant




Job Summary:

The Television Production Assistant will perform entry-level tasks as part of a television crew.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and distributes copies of scripts and other needed documents.
  • Assists the Executive Producer in planning schedules for cast and production employees.
  • Travels to shooting locations and assists with the setup of video equipment.
  • Organizes travel to and from television sets and filming locations.
  • Ensures that meals, beverages, and refreshments are available to the cast and crew.
  • Confirms availability of studio space, and camera, audio, and lighting equipment.
  • Records and updates production notes.
  • Assists with post-production work such as video and sound editing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree required. Bachelors degree in Communications, Television Production, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in the television industry preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically able to carry production equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time.
