California New-Hire Notices Checklist

This checklist provides an overview of California’s state notices that must be provided to newly hired employees. While the forms listed below are mandated by state laws, an employer may require additional forms to be completed by new hires based on company policy.

In a response to the trend of allowing employees to work remotely, California will permit employers to distribute required notices and posters to employees by email, effective Jan. 1, 2022, in addition to physically displaying required posters in the workplace. See Senate Bill No. 657.
