Nilanjan (Neel) Adhya is the Chief AI, Data and Analytics Officer at Lincoln Financial, responsible for all aspects of the company's artificial intelligence (AI) and data science strategy, overseeing AI and data governance and leading AI-enabled business transformation. This includes reimagining workflows, embedding AI into core operations, and creating new capabilities that enhance customer, employee and stakeholder experiences and deliver measurable business outcomes. He reports to CEO Ellen Cooper and is a member of Lincoln's Senior Management Committee.
Adhya has more than 25 years of experience in various roles including senior leadership positions in digital, data science, analytics and strategy for institutions in the investment and financial services, technology and software sectors. Prior to joining Lincoln, he served as Chief Digital Officer and Global Head of Digital Platforms and Experiences at BlackRock, where he orchestrated client-facing AI initiatives and modernized the firm's digital approach to deliver personalized and integrated at-scale customer-centric capabilities. Adhya also held multiple roles during his 16-year tenure at IBM, including Chief Digital Officer and VP of Digital Transformation.
Adhya serves on the Society for Human Resource Management's Board of Directors (Strategy and Governance Committees) and on the Board of Directors of Purdue University's Krenicki Center for Business Analytics and Machine Learning. He holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Yale University's School of Management and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
