Aurora, Colorado – The SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) Talent Conference & Expo is happening now virtually and in-person in Aurora, Colorado, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. For the next several days, talent professionals are coming together to discuss how to attract, engage and retain top talent in a new world of work as they shape the future of talent management and build better workplaces for all.
Top talent management continues to be key as nearly half (49%) of U.S. workers are actively searching for a new job right now, or plan to over the next few months.
On Monday, April 11, Guild Education Chief People Officer and talent expert Lorna Hagen applies the lessons she's learned to the challenges of today on the Talent Main Stage in a conversation with SHRM Chief Global Development Officer Nick Schacht, SHRM-SCP. Additional key sessions focus on top recruiting trends for the years ahead including the importance of aligning what a company offers with what an employee needs, while highlighting the value of diversity.
The SHRM Talent Conference continues tomorrow with a session featuring Seramount President Subha Barry in conversation with SHRM Foundation President Wendi Safstrom to address the importance of changing the workplace one employee at a time through the practice of sustained workplace equity, transparency, truth and vulnerability. On Wednesday, April 13, on the Talent Main Stage, pro athlete Tim Tebow will speak to some of the factors that impede or cultivate motivation in the workplace and how HR leaders can energize their team and create a healthy and inclusive work environment filled with productive workers.
