DOL Adds Office of Immigration Policy for Employment-Based Programs
The Department of Labor (DOL) has created a temporary Office of Immigration Policy to improve the administration of employment-based immigration programs. The new office is designed to help U.S. employers navigate immigration processes effectively and in compliance with the law.
On behalf of its nearly 340,000 members across 180 countries, SHRM welcomed the DOL’s action as a meaningful step toward a modern, efficient, and transparent workplace immigration system. SHRM has expressed its willingness to engage with the new office, offering actionable data, employer insights, and policy recommendations to help ensure that immigration pathways align with workforce and business needs.
