Harlyn Kassardjian is the Director of Strategy & Business Operations, Betterment, where she builds sustainable processes and brings cross-functional strategy to life. Harlyn has worked at Betterment for over 8 years and built out the 401(k) compliance and operations teams that support 401(k) plan sponsors and participants. Prior to joining Betterment, she worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, supporting ultra high net worth families and select non-profit organizations. Harlyn graduated from Washington and Lee with a degree in finance and art history and holds the Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.

Edward Gottfried
Edward Gottfried is the VP of Product Management at Betterment and joined in 2019. In his role, he oversees product build, strategy, and supports the broader product team across Betterment's B2B business lines. Prior to joining Betterment, he spent 7 years serving in several different roles at Bloomberg LP, including Product Management of Bloomberg’s voice archive and trade archive platforms and Product Management of Bloomberg’s people data suite.

Mindy Yu
Mindy Yu is the Senior Director of Investing at Betterment, and is dedicated to 401(k) investments. Mindy and her team provide quarterly investment webinars as well as offer general Betterment investment education to our plan sponsors. She joined Betterment from Stash where she provided investment guidance and partnered with product teams to empower retail investors to make educated financial decisions. Prior to Stash, she spent more than a decade in traditional asset management, handling investments for ultra high net worth clients. Her experience also includes service as a member of the Asset Allocation Committee at WisdomTree, creating model portfolios, implementing asset allocation decisions, and providing product insight to clients. Mindy is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® professional (CIMA®) and holds the Series 65 FINRA license.

Justin Joiner
Justin Joiner is the Sr. Director of HR and Workplace Experience at Betterment. In his role, Justin leads the strategy and execution of the human resources team as well as the physical and remote workplace environment. Justin works closely with business leaders to design and implement scalable HR processes, run annual cycles, and ensure Betterment’s office and hybrid experience support how teams actually work. With a strong focus on clarity, consistency, and data‑driven decisions, Justin’s focus is to ensure all Betterment employees have a positive experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
