Leon Fresco is an Immigration Attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office where he focuses his practice on providing global immigration representation to businesses, universities and individuals. He has extensive experience representing clients in the following types of governmental investigations relating to compliance with U.S. immigration laws. Fresco also represents clients in administrative law matters and appeals, Freedom of Information Act litigation, mandamus ligation and asylum litigation, and he has extensive appellate, commercial litigation and legislative experience.

Judit Markarian brings a wealth of experience to the SHRM Exchange Visitor Program. She previously worked with international students and exchange visitors at the University of Maryland. She handled J-1 visa compliance issues at both the American Institute for Foreign Study and Cultural Vistas. She has also worked in partnership and corporate account management in Silicon Valley and in information management at Lexis Nexis in Washington. D.C. Markarian also taught English. among other responsibilities, at Northern Virginia Community College. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, she is fluent in Hungarian, proficient in German, and knows basic Russian.
