Job Summary:
The Supervisor of Network Control Operations will oversee and coordinate network control operations, facilitating efficient and effective installation of equipment and provision of data communication services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the installation of data communication lines and equipment.
- Assists with identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of user data communication problems.
- Maintains daily logs and knowledge bases, documenting steps required to resolve network problems.
- Trains operators and technicians on diagnostic and monitoring processes, ensuring staff can install and maintain lines, equipment, and hardware.
- Reports data communications problems, anticipated downtime, and resolution to leadership, colleagues, and other stakeholders at staff meetings and as required.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and new technology in data communications.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Three years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
