Job Summary:
The Vehicle Service Worker will perform regular cleaning and fueling of automotive maintenance equipment in the facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly cleans exterior and interior of automotive equipment.
- Services vehicles including automobiles, dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoes; tasks may include fueling, oil and filter changes, maintaining antifreeze and coolant levels, and similar servicing procedures performed under the supervision of an equipment mechanic until proficiency is demonstrated.
- Assists equipment mechanic as directed.
- Maintains the security of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Notes any unusual or unexplained damage to vehicles and reports incidents to supervisor or police department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to drive in various traffic conditions.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation.
Education and Experience:
- Experience with basic vehicle maintenance including jump starting vehicles and changing flat tires required.
- Good driving record required.
Physical Requirements:
- May require prolonged periods sitting in various vehicles.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and perform moderate lifting.
