Job Summary:
The Product Repairer will inspect, clean, sort, rework, refurbish, and/or discard in-process and finished products to ensure only functioning, high-quality products reach customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Retrieves products to be inspected from specified areas, safely transferring to inspection station using hand trucks.
- Carefully examines and sorts each item, placing defective products in designated scrap bins.
- Reserves any salvageable pieces or materials for return to assembly department.
- Delivers filled bins to quality assurance department for review.
- Thoroughly cleans repairable products, makes needed adjustments and repairs using simple hand tools.
- Sorts repaired products on pallets for delivery to appropriate areas.
- Counts and logs items into appropriate categories such as repaired goods, finished goods, and scrap items.
- Observes and notes any frequent quality defects, reporting trends to supervisor.
- Stands in as substitute on assembly lines during breaks or lunch periods.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions and work well on a team.
- Basic mechanical and repair skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding o, and the ability to abide by OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to compile reports and logs.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of related experience preferred.
- Completion of on the job training may be substituted for education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and perform minor repairs.
- Due to exposure to considerable amounts of noise, hearing protection will be required.
- Manual dexterity to inspect and repair products.
