The SHRM Inclusive Workplace Culture Project acknowledges the work HR professionals do to support their organization’s inclusion initiatives. The Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential gives HR professionals the strategies and tools needed to successfully shift organizational culture.

SHRM has developed the framework for an Inclusive Workplace Project that will allow you to apply the knowledge and skills you’ve gained from your SHRM Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential course work. SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credential holders will be provided with the opportunity to earn up to 30 PDCs by applying what they’ve learned as part of the Advance Your Organization category of recertification.

Getting Started

Please refer to the Inclusive Workplace Project Outline (PDF) and follow the recommended phased steps starting with the foundational work of creating a compelling business case and constructing the strategic framework for change, followed by the actual building and implementation of IWC solutions. As you complete the initial phase of your project leverage

Proposed IWC Projects

While you can create any IWC project you believe will advance your organization, SHRM has created a recommended list of suggested Inclusive Workplace Culture Transformation Efforts (PDF). As you build your project you can use the resources identified within the Inclusive Workplace Culture Outline (linked above).

Submitting Your IWC Project

As you complete either Phase 1 or Phase 2 (or both) of your IWC Project you must complete your Project Summary Document (PDF). To request your PDCs, you must upload your worksheet into your SHRM Certification Portal.
