George Huntley
George Huntley is a founding member of the Diabetes Leadership Council (501c3) and currently serves as CEO of both the DLC and its affiliate, the Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition (501c4). He has been living with type 1 diabetes since 1983 and has 3 other family members also living with T1D. A passionate advocate for people with diabetes, George is a past National Chair of the Board of the American Diabetes Association and currently serves as Treasurer of Children with Diabetes.
George is also a former CPA and spent his business career as CFO of Theoris Group, Inc., United Pentek, Inc. and MicroProse Games, Inc. In his corporate roles, he was the plan administrator of self-insured, employer-based health plans for over 25 years where he learned firsthand the impact of chronic disease management on his company’s bottom line and the importance of strategic health plan design decisions to manage cost, reduce overall risk and improve health outcomes. He is a highly rated and frequent speaker on the topic of health plan design and drug pricing.

Nancy D’Hondt, RPH, CDCES, FADCES
Nancy D’Hondt is a clinical pharmacist and certified diabetes care and education specialist working at Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. She has helped in establishing her hospital inpatient protocols and policies around glycemic management, and assists in protocol implementation, revision and staff education.
Her involvement in the diabetes landscape spans 20 years where she has served on local and national committees for ADA, JDRF, AHA and ADCES. Nancy is currently serving as a member of the board for CBDCE (Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education).
She holds a B.S. in pharmacy from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan; achieved her distinction as a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2008 and was recognized as a fellow of ADCES in 2011.

John Anderson, MD
Dr. John Anderson practices Internal Medicine and Diabetes at the Frist Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. He has served as President of the Multispecialty Medicine Clinic, Chair of the Department of Medicine, and Chair of the Board of Trustees for Centennial Medical Center, a 650-bed tertiary care referral hospital. He has been consistently listed as one of the Best Doctors by the Nashville Business Journal. Dr. Anderson has been a longtime volunteer for the American Diabetes Association, having served two separate terms on its National Board of Directors and as chair of National Advocacy Committee and as co-chair of the Health Reform Task Force. He has also served as a member of numerous other committees and task force groups, including the Executive Committee as well as the Primary Care and Governance groups. In 2013, Dr. Anderson served as the President, Medicine & Science of the American Diabetes Association. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on topics of diabetes, focusing on improving the care of the patient with diabetes in the primary care community.
