    Jim Link is the CHRO at SHRM. He previously held leadership positions at General Electric, the Pillsbury Company, and Porsche Cars. In his most recent role as CHRO for Randstad North America, Link led a global team of 150 HR professionals who were instrumental in transforming the company into an award-winning, inclusive, and sustainable global leader. He has served as a volunteer leader in several organizations including the SHRM Foundation Board, the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank Human Capital Advisory Board, and the Human Resources Leadership Forum. Link is also an adjunct instructor in the Executive MBA program at the University of Poznan (Poland) School of Economics and Business and the University of Liège (Belgium) Asia-Pacific campus in Taipei, Taiwan.

    Patricia Timmons-Goodson

    Patricia Timmons-Goodson serves as the dean and chief academic officer of North Carolina Central University School of Law. Her professional career in North Carolina represents more than three decades of unflinching and powerfully effective public service. After serving as a prosecutor, legal aid lawyer, and trial and intermediate appellate judge, Timmons-Goodson was appointed to the Supreme Court of North Carolina by Gov. Michael Easley. She will always be due special notice in the history books as the fourth woman and the first African American woman to sit on North Carolina’s highest court. She served 28 years in the judiciary prior to her retirement from the Supreme Court in 2012.

    Tara Singh Param is a partner at Holland & Knight. She is an experienced trial lawyer and trusted advisor who helps public and private companies navigate complex labor and employment issues. She partners with clients to design and implement strategies that mitigate risk, safeguard business interests, and support corporate transactions. As a trusted advisor, Param provides day-to-day counseling as well as crisis management on sensitive personnel decisions, helping employers maintain compliance, mitigate risks, and preserve company culture. This includes sensitive workplace terminations and discipline, structuring executive compensation packages, drafting incentive plans, and negotiating severance agreements. Param brings a strategic perspective and an in-depth understanding of market trends to help ensure that her clients attract and retain top talent.
