Employer-Led Training Survey
This research, conducted by SHRM for the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board (AWPAB), focuses on employer-led training, and aims to measure and encourage employer-led training investments.
As a member of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, led by the White House and the Department of Commerce, SHRM conducted a survey to better inform the Employer-Led Training Group on the current landscape of employer-led training in the U.S from the HR perspective.
The survey covered a variety of skill-based training types including initial skills training, job maintenance training, up-skilling training, and employee development training. While the majority of employers track financial costs associated with training, less organizations track indirect costs. Most organizations of all types track individual employee participation in training programs, and similar percentages of organizations track the impact that trainings have on employees and their businesses.
