Job Summary:
The Computer Training Technician will develop training programs for software applications and will provide training and assistance to operators on a variety of programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acquires and maintains current knowledge of assigned software programs in use at the company from appropriate resources (internal or external).
- Attends training sessions offered by the software vendor.
- Develops and maintains various forms of training documentation and materials.
- Performs training sessions, monitors and records attendance, and prepares reports based on user participation.
- Prepares third-party training courses for use in in-house training.
- Adapts training as needed to account for individual learning styles, needed accommodations, and company modifications.
- Provides technical support via email or phone.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of personal computers and peripherals.
- Ability to present organized and understandable training.
- Basic understanding of general office policies and procedures.
- Superb interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
- At least two years of experience working with the primary software programs used by the company.
- Certified Technical Trainer credentials preferred.
- CCNA, Security+, A+, or Network+ certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
