Vinco Wins SHRMLabs Better Workplaces Challenge Cup

Vinco, an ed-tech company providing blue collar education upskilling, won the annual SHRMLabs Better Workplaces Challenge Cup.




New Orleans, La.— Today, The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) announced Vinco as the winner of the SHRMLabs Better Workplaces Challenge Cup, a competition to highlight the most innovative workplace technology solutions from companies across the globe. The announcement was made on June 14 at the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2022, where the winner was presented with the cup. The winner additionally won a 50,000 cash prize.

“We would like to congratulate Vinco and all the finalists for their ingenuity and in the human resource (HR) field,” said Alex Alonso, Chief Knowledge Officer at SHRM. “As the HR field continues to evolve, we need to be able to innovate and adapt to the new landscape. This competition has proven a win for connecting investors and inventors to promote creative solutions.”

Based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, MX., Vinco is an ed-tech company whose primary mission is to serve as a bridge between employers who wish to upskill, individuals who want to earn credentials, and institutions who want to drive their enrollment online. Vinco works to assist HR teams in upskilling their employees through connections at over 2,000 top educational programs.

Out of 150 initial submissions to compete worldwide, the organizations narrowed down to just four finalists to appear in person at SHRM22 in New Orleans. The finalists gave one last pitch to a panel of judges, including Shark Tank star Kevin Harrington, and Cindy Eckert, CEO of The Pink Ceiling, in a bid to win the 50,000 cash prize. The other panel judges included:

·       Dedu Ajith John: Director of Advisory Services, SHRM India
·       Tracey Tink: Chief Customer Officer, Censia
