SHRM Foundation believes that the key to creating a world of work that works for all is supporting the diversification, growth, and celebration of the HR field. Each year, we increase access to trainings, conferences, mentorship, and pathways to work for thousands of students and emerging, mid-career, and advanced HR professionals across the country.

Scholarships and Grants

in scholarships and grants is distributed to students and HR professionals each year to continue their education in the field of HR.
Through our annual scholarships and grants, we distribute $500,000 each year to support everyone who makes up the HR profession, from students to emerging professionals and seasoned leaders.
LEAD THE PROFESSION
Fellowships
SHRM Foundation fellowships invest in the individuals shaping the HR profession at every stage of leadership. The HR Tomorrow Leadership Program is a yearlong leadership development experience for emerging HR professionals with two to four years of experience in the field. Fellows receive grants to attend SHRM's premier conferences, support for SHRM certification, and access to the Foundation's full suite of mentorship activities.
The Michael R. Losey Visiting Voice Fellowship honors one of the profession's most influential leaders by elevating emerging voices shaping the future of work and the HR profession.
HR Registered Apprenticeship Program
9-in-10
apprentices stay and grow with the company that trains them.
More pathways into HR are necessary, particularly pathways that do not require an undergraduate or graduate degree. The Human Resource Registered Apprenticeship Program (HR RAP) offers businesses an opportunity to access, develop, and retain talent, and offers workers a paycheck while training for advancement.
