SHRM Chief of Staff Emily M. Dickens Meets with Congressman Tim Moore to Discuss Workforce Priorities
On March 25, Emily M. Dickens, SHRM’s Chief of Staff, Head of Government Affairs & Corporate Secretary, met with Congressman Tim Moore (R-NC-14) to discuss SHRM’s workforce policy priorities and explore areas for collaboration. Their conversation covered workforce development, talent retention, and strategies to expand workforce participation.
As a former Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives, Moore has been actively engaged in policies related to economic development and workforce issues. His district, a major financial hub, includes key industries such as banking, healthcare, and manufacturing. SHRM and Moore’s office discussed shared priorities, including leadership training, workplace flexibility, and leveraging rural untapped talent pools to address workforce shortages.
