Atlantis Wigfall

Atlantis Wigfall, a seasoned human resources professional based in Upper Marlboro, Md., brings over four years of dedicated expertise to the field. With a steadfast and purposeful approach, Atlantis has honed her skills in delivering strategic HR guidance and fostering a positive work environment. Her proactive and collaborative approach, coupled with her exceptional communication skills, make her an asset in any HR leadership role.

Atlantis’ experience spans various sectors, from educational institutions such as Hopkins High School, where she excelled as an administrative coordinator, to impactful roles at organizations such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and SOME (So Others Might Eat) in Washington, D.C.

At SOME, Atlantis serves as a human resource coordinator, specializing in onboarding and HRIS management. Her responsibilities include overseeing the smooth transition of new hires, managing pre-employment concerns, and engaging with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a successful onboarding experience. Her proactive approach extends to collaborating with recruiters to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency, showcasing her dedication to organizational success.

Prior to her role at SOME, Atlantis demonstrated her versatility and leadership capabilities at Hopkins High School, where she managed HR functions, supervised administrative operations, and spearheaded various projects and events. Her adeptness in managing personnel, budgets, and administrative processes highlights her multifaceted skill set and commitment to excellence.

Atlantis is excited to be honored with the SHRM Foundation’s HR Tomorrow Leadership Program that not only recognizes her dedication to human resources but also provides her with invaluable opportunities for professional growth. The chance to attend conferences, pursue HR certification exams, and engage in specialized training represents an exciting milestone in her career. With a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Bowie State University and additional training in Project Management, Atlantis combines her academic background with hands-on experience and a robust skill set in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Shield Screening, and Clear Company.
