Ali Donnelly
Ali serves as the HR business partner for the entire SRS Distribution West Region, encompassing over 80 field locations. Leading up to this role, she worked as a field recruiter for SRS Distribution, a role that combined skills from her past retail career with skills gained from Syracuse University’s SPHR course, which she completed with support from Hiring Our Heroes.
Previously, Ali was a proud military spouse for more than 25 years, including 17 worldwide moves during which she supported not only her family but many others within the military community.
Her early career began in the world of retail with Gap Inc., where her achievements included being selected to participate in the company’s 18-month Work-Study Intern Program. This offered her the opportunity to learn about the many facets of the retail industry, including business, operations, merchandising, and human resources. Gap invested in her professional development and supported her as a military spouse by offering her leadership positions at the various locations where she lived. Over the course of her career with Gap, she had the opportunity to open new stores, troubleshoot underperforming stores, manage underperforming teams, train store locations, conduct corporate audits, as well as many other rewarding experiences.
Eager to contribute her skills as a military spouse and leader in retail to the world of HR, Ali is honored to be able to participate in this unique opportunity. She looks forward to participating in this amazing training opportunity with SHRM to elevate her HR knowledge so she can be a world-class HR business partner to her company and to every employee she supports.
Ali received her undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Miami and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Phoenix.
