Job Summary:
The Photographic Processor will develop photographic film and produce prints and enlargements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists customers with questions regarding pricing, special effects and finishes, and order status.
- Processes customer orders from digital files and in some circumstances film cartridges.
- Produces duplicates or enlargements of photographs using computer software or other equipment.
- Uses computer software to touch up photographs and or add special effects.
- Reviews photographs for processing quality.
- Maintains equipment, which may include adding chemicals, paper, and ink.
- May be required to operate a film processing machine; in specialty operations, may also be required to perform chemical development in a dark room atmosphere.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient with photo editing software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at photo processing workstation.
- Prolonged periods of using a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May require exposure to chemicals.
