Job Summary:
The Television Executive Producer plans and oversees the production of television shows from initial concept to broadcast.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires screen writers and creative staff.
- Oversees casting, directing, music, and camera crews.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of writing, acting, and production employees.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees a television production from beginning to end.
- Collaborates with writing staff to outline the concept and story of a television program.
- Approves final script for the program.
- Prepares a production budget and schedule.
- Presents the shows concept to network executives for approval.
- Presents budget to network executives for approval.
- Presents production schedule to network executives.
- Ensures the production operates within budget and is completed on schedule.
- Edits and approves final version of program.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Extensive knowledge of developing television programming.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven negotiation and promotional abilities.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with camera and production equipment.
- Proficient with editing and production software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Film, Business Management, or related film preferred.
- Five years of experience in the television industry required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
