Job Summary:
The Manager of the Information Center will oversee the support and service operations and functions of the organizations information center.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains information center staff.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules of information center staff.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains the organizations information center in a way that facilitates productivity and efficiency.
- Provides technical and customer service and support to internal users of the information centers facilities, which may include maintaining hardware and software and providing training.
- Identifies hardware, equipment, and software needs for the organizations information center; recommends and facilitates upgrades and replacements.
- Oversees and facilitates the installation and maintenance of new equipment, systems, hardware, and software in the information center.
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in technology, alerting senior staff of the effects widespread equipment, network, and other revisions, changes, and discontinuations will have on the organizations information center and related operations.
- Coordinates and schedules large-scale equipment and network installations.
- Ensures that projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science with advanced training in operations management required.
- At least five years of related experience, at least one of which at a supervisory level, highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
