Job Summary:
The Quality Planning Engineer will develop, implement, and manage the inspection analysis (IA) activities in a manufacturing facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements an inspection analysis (IA) system that sets standardized inspection criteria, ensuring consistent IA processes across the facility.
- Drafts or facilitates the drafting of IA guidelines, instructions, and other reference documentation to ensure the process incorporates and addresses pertinent customer, company, and government criteria and standards.
- Provides interpretive guidance and support when questions arise.
- Oversees IA preparations and/or revisions for work in process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of inspection analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree required; Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Prior experience as a quality engineer or a quality engineering supervisor preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
