Job Summary:
The Administrative Supervisor, Diagnostic Center provides supervision, direction, and quality control to employees and activities in the diagnostic center.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the technical supervisor, assumes supervision of the technical staff. Recruits, interviews and selects employees.Recommends promotions, discipline, and other administrative actions.
- Organizes, plans, and supervises all functions related to front desk, exit billing, file room, staff scheduling and transcription.
- Establishes, reviews, and revises work procedures relative to administrative and clerical functions.
- Maintains employees files and enrolls new employees in group benefits, obtaining necessary administrative and employment information.
- Maintains the petty cash account and orders office supplies, staff/patient refreshments.
- Develops inventory control procedures and performs inventory cost evaluations.
- Maintains all office equipment.
- Attends regularly scheduled clinic staff, in-service, and training meetings.
- Participates in professional organizations, attending meetings and seminars external to the facility to maintain professional acumen.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Graduation from high school (or GED) with two years of college, majoring in business administration preferred.
- Five years of office experience with at least two years in full-time office management.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
