Traditional skill appraisal methods—self-reported assessments and manager evaluations—are often incomplete and unreliable, limiting organizations' ability to leverage the benefits of their talent investments. This session, based on Mercer’s latest research, explores how recognition data becomes an invaluable source of data to identify and confirm skills—providing a real-time, validated view of how skills are currently used within an organization, and mitigating bias that can emerge through other means of skills identification.
