The Director of Intervention Services will oversee the Medicare Assistance program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff and volunteers in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department including staff and volunteers.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees and coordinates the Medicare Assistance Program, assisting clients with insurance and claims and maintaining records for agency reports.
- Drafts and maintains files for volunteer opportunities including job descriptions, required qualifications and work hours, and any training that is offered.
- Creates, implements, and publicizes schedules for availability of Medicare assistance.
- Drafts and distributes periodic reports of client statistics for the department.
- Monitors and approves the use of the agencys emergency assistance fund.
- Promotes and facilitates the programs volunteer staffing services, which may include public relations and outreach efforts including appearances at community events and service groups, media presentations, and publications.
- Plans and coordinates special projects involving donated materials and volunteers.
- Collaborates with other organizations to develop training and learning opportunities for volunteers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field required.
- At least three years of related experience required with program administration and supervision work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
