Job Summary:
The Mortgage Processing Clerk will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties to assist mortgage applicants and clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Prepares or collects, maintains, organizes, files, records, and manages all documentation related to mortgage applications, real estate collateral, and insurance policies.
- Handles inquiries and document requests from clients, realtors, and colleagues.
- Alerts underwriter or other staff of any missing records, documents, or other irregularities in the mortgage application process.
- Acquires the title insurance policy from the title company at closing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some prior mortgage experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
