Senior Director of Knowledge Operations
Amber Clayton is the Senior Director of Knowledge Center Operations at SHRM. She leads a team of HR experts who field an average of 60,000 HR-related inquiries from members a year. She is frequently sought after as an expert for work-related webcasts, conferences, and media interviews. Amber is SHRM-certified with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. She also holds specialty credentials in California law, inclusive workplace culture, and workplace investigations. Before joining SHRM in 2011, she had years of HR experience in healthcare and retail.

Monique Akanbi is a SHRM Membership Initiatives Director, activating SHRM's comprehensive strategy and initiatives by developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and maximize the satisfaction of the 330,000-plus members and communities SHRM serves. As a strategic change agent with 20 years of experience in senior leadership and all aspects of HR, Monique has been credited with developing and implementing strategies to decrease employee turnover, increase employee engagement and satisfaction, and improve organizational culture.
Manager, Event Technology Innovation
Wendy Fong is a team leader who drives strategic initiatives and fosters inclusive, customer-centric solutions. She is the Manager of Event Technology Innovation at SHRM. She also works as a Career Skills Actor & Consultant at the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. Wendy holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
