Job Summary:
The Equity Analyst analyzes financial data, public records, and overall trends of a company to determine the current value of its stock and predict its financial future. These findings are used in making recommendations for client accounts and fund portfolios.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews companys financial reports using performance measurement standards.
- Conducts diligent research to support and prepare reports of the organizations investment potential.
- Reviews and analyzes public records of comparable businesses to predict future financial needs of the target organization.
- Collaborates and continually communicates with staff on the analysis team.
- Provides buy/sell recommendations in appropriate immediate and long-term markets
- Uses risk management methods to continually assess changes in the investment portfolio.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and statistical software.
- Computer and internet skills necessary for investment analysis.
- Ability to adapt analysis to specified formats, styles, templates, and deadlines for a variety of reports.
- Ability to develop and express sound opinions on investment opportunities and prospects.
- Ability to work well with a team and to adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent observational skills and ability to recognize trends in a particular market.
- Thorough understanding of fair disclosure laws.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in related field with a strong academic record required; MBA preferred.
- At least three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
