Job Summary:
The Gaming Supervisor will oversee gaming operations, employees, and patrons to ensure games are conducted fairly and in compliance with applicable rules and standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees staff in an assigned area, ensuring games are conducted fairly and according to applicable rules.
- Ensures proper staffing of assigned stations and games.
- Assists in hiring and training of staff to work in assigned areas.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Circulates throughout assigned area to observe operations, ensures that house, tribal, state, and federal rules and regulations are followed, and monitors gamblers behavior for signs of cheating.
- Greets clientele in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Ensures that employees continuously provide courteous and prompt service.
- Explains games and rules to patrons as requested.
- Addresses and resolves complaints and concerns from clientele; as appropriate, reports concerns and incidents to supervisors.
- Alerts security when patrons are suspected of cheating or misbehaving.
- Maintains current knowledge of games in operation at the facility and of possible strategies and tricks for cheating at such games.
- Supervises and approves the distribution of complementary rooms, meals, discounts, and other perks given to players to ensure a quality experience based on client loyalty and duration of play.
- Ensures banks and table limits are correctly set.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of gaming concepts and practices.
- Thorough understanding of games played in assigned area.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
- Ability to act with discretion and trustworthiness.
- Ability to speak with tact and professionalism, even in tense situations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of experience in casino or gaming industry required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
