Job Summary:
The Word Processing Supervisor will oversee and coordinate word processing staff to efficiently meet the organizations data and word processing needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the word processing staff and equipment.
- Provides training to word processing staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides and/or facilitates efficient and accurate document preparation services to operating departments.
- Identifies and communicates or implements changes and recommendations to improve the organizations document preparation process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training in word processing systems and administrative support required.
- At least four years of cumulative, related administrative, clerical, and/or secretarial experience desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
