Audiovisual Specialist




Job Summary:

The Audiovisual Specialist will provide audiovisual services, maintain and repair audiovisual equipment, and prepare and maintain relevant records.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Schedules uses for audiovisual (AV) equipment.
  • Sets up and calibrates equipment for use.
  • Identifies causes for AV problems and resolves the issues.
  • Operates equipment as needed for various meetings and events.
  • Provides instructions for the operation of equipment to non-AV employees.
  • Designs, plans, and oversees regular and special AV portions of events.
  • Develops, tests, edits, and produces presentations and other multi-format resources.
  • Takes photographs and videos to be used in AV presentations, publications, or other resources.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations to perform photography, videography, studio, or darkroom work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and repair AV equipment.
  • Ability to create displays and videos to send creative, positive messages related to the company.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Photography, Media Production, Visual Arts, or related field preferred.
  • At least four years of experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, behind a sound board, and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds at a time.
