The SHRM Recertification Process

As a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP you recognize the relevance and importance of SHRM certification. Earning your certification was a proactive step toward a rewarding career and a commitment to advancing the future of HR. Recertification is how you will continue to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of the profession. 

Maintain your SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP. There are two ways to recertify. 
  1. Earn 60 professional development credits (PDCs) every three years.   
  2. Earn 60 professional development credits (PDCs) every three years, or retake the certification exam.   

The SHRM Recertification Process Difference

There are numerous ways to earn PDCs, from attending conferences and seminars to volunteering and contributing resources to the advancement of the HR profession. The difference between SHRM's recertification process and other certifications is that there are no limits on the types of learning you can do. SHRM allows you to customize what you're learning to fit your area of focus in HR.
