Job Summary:
The Office Systems Coordinator will provide software training to clerical employees and will assist with word processing duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with other staff to assess word processing needs; develops plan to distribute and complete assignments.
- Creates filing systems for electronic file storage.
- Trains clerical staff on departmental software; provides or facilitates basic technical support.
- Serves as software liaison for users, management, and/or staff.
- Steps in to perform word processing and related clerical tasks.
- Provides recommendations for office software and equipment purchases.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with computers and software applications.
- Ability to learn current office software and equipment and any future updates to software or hardware.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, plus vocational training in data/word processing, required.
- Office experience or word processing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
